Placing Puppies
Occasionally we have puppies available for approved homes. When we place puppies, it is
on the condition that they will be spayed or neutered and never used for breeding. We
register all of our dogs with both the AKC and the CKCSC-USA and show in both venues.

We screen potential homes carefully. We encourage you to do the same with breeders.
Potential puppy buyers must visit in person. This is important not only for us to meet you, but
for you to meet us and see how our dogs live. We ask questions designed not only to
determine if the home is a good match for our puppies in general, but also to get to know the
family and lifestyle so that we can determine which puppy would be the best match if we do
decide we want to work together. Because the puppies are born and raised in our home as
part of our family, we feel that we are in the best position to match puppies to homes. Of
course we consider each family's wishes with regard to gender and/or color, but if we
approve you for a puppy we will offer to you the one that we feel is the best personality and
temperament match for your family. If color and gender are major considerations for you,
you may have to wait longer for the right puppy match.

In order to determine if we are meeting our breeding goals, it is important that we follow the
growth and development of all the puppies we produce and stay informed as to their lifelong
health. This means that if you get a puppy from us, we will want to arrange to see the puppy
and evaluate its conformation at around 2 years of age. We will also contact you at least
once each year to track your dog's health. Of course we always love to receive pictures and
hear stories about our puppies' lives with their families. Many of our "puppy families" stay in
touch on a regular basis, participating in our email discussion group and planning periodic
get-togethers.

If you are interested in talking further, don't hesitate to call or email. We are always happy to
talk about our dogs or Cavaliers in general.
