Lil was our first Cavalier. She was a curious and impish puppy, quick to learn and willing to try anything for a "cookie". She had a brief show career before her penchant for chewing her own ears forced her early retirement. She whelped the first litter born at Sanflorian Cavaliers, and was our first dog to earn any performance title. Like many Cavaliers, however, the job she does best was that of companion. And she excelled at that! She stole our hearts from the minute she came home and little did we know the path she had started us on! Like too many other Cavaliers, she had Mitral Valve Disease and succumbed to its devastating effects on 11/4/2010. We miss her every day, but we smile to think of her re-united with her VERY big buddy Sherlock and the both of them waiting for us at the Rainbow Bridge. |
