In Memoriam
"Nicole"
1986 - 1999
Shagg-Bark's Rascal Buck
"Buck"
6/1999 - 8/2000
Magic Mountain Daisy
"Anna"
1999 - 2001
Adopted from the Humane Society in Burlington,
Nicole was our first dog together. She was sweet
and funny and taught us many things about how
*not* to raise a dog. Spoiled she was.

"Tanner"
1986 - 2000
Tanner also came to us from the Humane Society.
With his buddy Nicole, he loved to run and make
mischief. And in spite of many "lessons" he never
quite figured out that he should leave porcupines
alone.
"Hannah"
1984-1996
and
"Kazi"
1985-1997
These two came to live with us in the summer of
1988. They were typical Newfs - stubborn, yet
goofy, and very affectionate. They were a joy to
live with. Prior to coming here, Kazi had earned is
"Companion Dog" (an obedience title) from the
AKC and meeting him is what sparked my interest
in the sport.
Though he was only with us for a short time, Buck
taught us more about canine behavior than any dog
before or since.
Anna was John's very special buddy. She was
super sweet, affectionate and loved everyone she
ever met. Unfortunately, a seizure disorder ended
her show/training career almost as soon as it was
begun, and ultimately took her life way too soon.
Magic Mountain Moe
"Sherlock"
1999 - 2004
Sherlock was also a sweet, affectionate dog and a
wonderful ambassador for the Saint Bernard
breed. He was truly a gentle giant and helped
"raise" the first Cavalier puppies - lying down to
play "mouth games" or let them climb on him and
sleep in his tail.
Our life with dogs did not start with the Cavaliers. Here's a tribute to the dogs who came
before.
